The Urban Decay palette review.

These days i don’t really have time for my blog because am moving on a new place. However, as soon as i saw my favorite brand with a new fall collection i was extremely excited and i ordered as soon as i can. Urban Decay has always been my favorite brand, in term of eyeshadow palette and complexion products and finally the artistic side that stand in front of all other brands in my point of view. The Urban Decay palette for me is a basic where you can’t go wrong and i was never disappointed.

When i just started learning about makeup, Urban Decay palette was just something i personally couldn’t afford. As soon as i started reaching for them, and in a longe time, Urban Decay never disappointed me as i said until today with the moondust palette that in my point of view isn’t practical for everyday use or for holidays.

The moondust creativity.

Since the fall collection came out, all the beauty gurus swear by it and as a beauty lover and makeup addict especially of this brand, it was an evidence for me to test out this collection which this palette.

Urban Decay pushed the limits once again in this palette and proposes us the most wonderful artistic packaging she was able to realized so far. Indeed, this packaging remind us of winter with classy silver black color. Please don’t judge me if i am so impressed but Urban Decay has always impressed me with her powerful artistic side that never stop progressing collection after collection.

The creamy colors.

This palette contain 8 eyeshadows with different colors so that everyone can use it and find the color he want, whether for special occasions or for everyday makeup.

However, we came to the first negative point for this Urban Decay palette and is the absence of matt eyeshadow or transition colors.

A rainbow palette.

In spite of the fact that there is no matt eye shadow, Urban Decay stay loyal to the quality they promise with 8 magnificent duochrome creamy texture. That being said, in spite of the very pleasant creamy texture, the colors came out a little bit patchy while i was swatching them with my fingers. Other than that, while i was doing my makeup the colors applied really smoothly with my makeup brushes.

Urban Decay palette

Here we are to my seconde negative point of this palette! This Urban Decay palette is missing clear colors to enhance the arch of the brows or to apply it on the inner corner of the eye like white, champagne or cream color.

Does this palette worth the hype.

This palette costs 49 dollars at Sephora and 49 dollars in Urban Decay web site for 0,7g, what retail to 6,12 dollars. I don’t know about you but I find that it is relatively expensive compared to the eye shadows weight knowing that Makeup geek proposes 1,8 gr duochrome eyeshadows with almost same quality  for 6 dollars only.

Hot or not.

I am a huge fan of Urban Decay specially the palettes and i was expecting so much of this palette that disappointed me. The absence of Light shimmery color to enhance my brows, the matt colors and finally the weights make me feel that we pay more for the design that is so glam, sexy and fall than everything else. Please don’t get me wrong, the quality is so cool but is just not a practical palette at all so i wouldn’t recommend it for any everyday use or vacations. However, if you want to make your makeup collection even bigger or if you are a makeup artist, you will really love the wet effect that these eye shadows will give to your makeup client.

This is it my loves! I hope you find this review helpful, let me know if you tried this palette or if you want to by it. Feel free to subscribe so you we can keep in touch and also don’t forget to tell me what do you want me to review.

God bless you and see on my next post.

Your makeup looks gorgeous! It looks like a stunning palette, but like you said, it would’ve been nice if it had some matte transition shades and something to highlight the brow and inner corner. Then it would be a great travel palette too!
